Pitched, cathedral and vaulted roofs demand a superior insulation product that guarantees optimum energy efficiency in a small amount of space. Dow Roofmate Avance™ has been specifically designed to reduce heat loss and moisture problems in pitched, cathedral and vaulted ceilings. Dow Roofmate Avance™ is made from non-porous extruded polystyrene foam. The extrusion process gives Dow Styrofoam™ its characteristic closed cell structure and key physical properties of low thermal conductivity, low water absorption and a high compressive strength rating.

Dow Roofmate Avance™ is installed entirely above the rafters. Used in conjunction with the Proctor Roofshield™ water vapour permeable underlay installed beneath the counter battens adds extra protection against air and moisture. The tongued and grooved profiles of the Dow Roofmate Avance™ ensure a secure interlock between boards, preventing thermal bridging and forming self supporting joints which do not need to coincide with the rafters.

Dow Thermax Sheathing™ has a glass-fibre-reinforced PIR foam core for insulation value, while chemical modifications contribute to improved fire performance and enhanced dimensional stability. Pinhole-free aluminium facers on both sides lend strength, moisture resistance and aesthetic value.

Dow Thermax Sheathing™ is a non-structural, rigid board which offers a high insulating value and is ideal for installations in attic’s and exposed roof applications without a thermal barrier.

Dow Roofmate Avance™ and Dow Thermax Sheathing™ use a CFC and HCFC free blowing agent, is free from ozone depleting gasses (ODP) and is Green Star compliant.
