Dow Styrofoam™ extruded polystyrene has been used with great success in surfboards for many years, with many of the worlds top riders having used them at various competitions.

Boards made from Styrofoam™ offer a great combination of strength and flex, whilst still remaining extremely light compared to other boards of similar properties. When combined with composites such as carbon Kevlar, the boards are virtually bullet proof.

Dow Styrofoam™ is also a non-porous, closed cell structure which means that the board won’t be effected by moisture like other types of polystyrene and polyurethane boards available, which is a critical factor in how a board handles over a long period of time.
