Reserve Bank of Australia

  Project:   Reserve Bank of Australia
  Martin Place, Sydney CBD

  Installer:   Remedial Building Services
  Insulation:   Dow Styrofoam Roofmate
  Application:   Retrofit roofing insulation

With extensive deterioration, the existing roof assembly of the Reserve Bank building in busy Martin Place needed to be removed and replaced with new insulation.

One of the main advantages of Dow Styrofoam Roofmate is that it can be used to upgrade levels of insulation in buildings that have insufficient or no insulation.

Dow Styrofoam Roofmate insulation is part of an Insulated Roof Membrane Assembly (IRMA) system that reduces heat flow into or out of the building, protects the membrane from excessive temperature cycling, shields the membrane against ultraviolet radiation and safeguards the membrane from mechanical damage.

This system is ideal for Australia, because the IRMA System is the only flat, concrete and metal deck roof construction able to cope with our extreme climatic conditions.

Insitu slabs and decorative finishes such as stamped concrete and tiles may be laid over Dow Styrofoam Roofmate to provide a traffic deck for rooftop promenades, terraces, plazas and car parking areas. It is a time proven system in use for many years on thousands of roofs in Australia, Europe, United States, Canada, Japan, The Middle East and recently in Asia’s cities of Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
